6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable laws. Data retention periods vary based on the type of data and the context of its collection. For instance:
• Account information is retained until you request its deletion.

7. International Data Transfers
Your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own, including the United States, where our servers are located. We implement appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), to ensure that your data is protected when transferred internationally.

9. VOIP Telephony Calls to Non-Eazdrop Users
9.1 Collection and Use of Data for VOIP Calls
When you use the Eazdrop application to initiate VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) calls to individuals who are not registered users of the Eazdrop platform, we collect and process additional information necessary to establish and maintain the telecommunication connection. This data includes:
Phone Numbers: The phone numbers of both the Eazdrop user initiating the call and the non-Eazdrop recipient.
Call Metadata: Information such as the call’s start and end time, duration, and other associated data, including recipient contact information.
Call Logs and Diagnostic Data: Technical logs and connection details, such as IP addresses, signal data, and other diagnostic data, to troubleshoot issues, ensure call quality, and provide necessary support.
This information is collected solely for the purpose of delivering the VOIP service and ensuring the quality and reliability of the calls. All data is handled in compliance with applicable laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and will not be used for purposes unrelated to VOIP services unless otherwise disclosed and consented to by you.
9.2 Involvement of Third-Party Telecommunications Providers
The VOIP services used to connect Eazdrop users with non-Eazdrop recipients are facilitated through third-party telecommunications providers ("VOIP Providers"). These providers are responsible for routing and transmitting VOIP calls and may collect, store, and process certain data to support these functions. This data may include call-related information such as phone numbers, call times, and connection performance metrics.
We engage with VOIP Providers that are contractually obligated to comply with applicable privacy and data protection laws, including but not limited to GDPR and CCPA, and to ensure the security of the personal data they process on our behalf. These providers act as data processors, and we implement appropriate data processing agreements to safeguard your information in compliance with the legal requirements for data controllers and processors.
9.3 Legal Basis for Data Processing
The processing of personal data related to VOIP calls, including phone numbers and call metadata, is carried out under the legal basis of legitimate interest and performance of a contract. This processing is essential for the delivery and functionality of the VOIP services offered by Eazdrop. In jurisdictions requiring explicit consent for the processing of certain personal data (e.g., location or call recording), we will request your consent before collecting such data.
9.4 Data Retention
We retain VOIP call data, including phone numbers, call logs, and metadata, for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this section or as required by law. Call data may be stored for troubleshooting, auditing, or legal purposes, but will be deleted or anonymized after it is no longer required for these purposes, in accordance with applicable data retention policies.
9.5 User Consent and Responsibility
By using the VOIP calling feature to contact non-Eazdrop users, you confirm that you have obtained any necessary consent from the call recipient where required by law. You further acknowledge and agree to the collection, processing, and sharing of the data as outlined in this section.
We are not responsible for the handling of data by third-party VOIP Providers beyond the scope of our contractual arrangements. For any concerns regarding the handling of data by these third-party providers, please contact us directly or refer to their privacy policies.
9.6 Disclaimer of Liability
While we take reasonable measures to ensure the security and privacy of your data, including engaging compliant third-party VOIP Providers, we do not guarantee the security of data transmitted over VOIP services due to the inherent risks of internet-based communications. You acknowledge and agree that Eazdrop is not liable for any unauthorized access, interception, or loss of data that occurs during VOIP calls, except to the extent required by law.
Any changes to our practices regarding VOIP calls and data collection will be reflected in updates to this Privacy Policy, and we will notify you of significant changes as required.
10. Compliance with Apple’s App Store and Google Play Store Requirements
As required by Apple’s App Store and Google Play Store policies, we disclose how we collect, use, and share data, ensuring transparency. The Data Safety Section on Google Play Store and App Store Privacy Labels reflect our data practices. The labels include details about the data types we collect, how they are used, and whether they are shared with third parties.
We comply with additional privacy safeguards imposed by both platforms, including but not limited to:
• Requiring opt-in consent for sensitive data collection, such as geolocation and camera/microphone access.
• Providing clear in-app links to this Privacy Policy.
• Ensuring adherence to applicable rules governing personalized advertising and tracking.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy from time to time. When updates are made, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. For significant changes, we may provide additional notice via email or in-app notifications. We encourage you to periodically review this policy to stay informed about how we protect your data.
